Participate or interested?

The Ph.D.-research started with 4 European theme parks participating. At this moment 8 parks are participating, and more parks have contacted me to be interested. If your park is interested in the impact of new attractions, please don’t hesitate to contact me (cornelis.p@nhtv.nl). I will give you a clear presentation about the project and what’s in it for you. For me, the more different parks participate, the better. I strongly believe in a contextual approach of this research question. Adding a new attraction to a resort park will have different effects, than adding the same attraction to a smaller theme park or amusement park. Results will be different for parks in the Northern part of Europe compared to the Southern part, due to weather conditions. Even your design day will influence the results. We can only prove these (and more) hypothesis by having enough different parks in the research program.

Data will be processed confidentially and will not be published in relation to the name of your park. However, specific analysis for each participating park will be done, and comprehensive presentations will be given to you and your staff. So, I think it’s a win-win-win-situation. You will get specific insights into the effects of new attractions, I will finish my Ph.D. and the industry will be one step closer to attraction accountability.

At this moment parks in different countries in Europe participate:
- Holland
- Denmark
- Germany
- Belgium
- United Kingdom
- Spain
